A cavity is a hole that is left in your tooth after the bacteria destroys part of the tooth. The bacteria will lay within the cavity and will need to be removed and filled with a filling. If left untreated, your tooth will continue to decay and cause serious infections that can spread to other areas of your mouth. Getting this cavity filled and taken care of early on can prevent further complications and eliminate the need to extract the tooth. What to expect? We will numb the area around the tooth/teeth that need to be treated. We’ll then use a tiny drill to remove the decay from the affected tooth. After removing the decay, we we’ll restore the tooth by filling the cavity with a resin material, using a special bond composite to adhere it in place.
